Two men were hospitalized after they were shot in Northeast Philadelphia's Summerdale section Sunday night, police said.

Cops said a 37-year-old man was on his porch on Carver Street near Loretto Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. when, he told police, two men walked up and shot him. He suffered a graze wound to the left knee and was taken to Aria Health's Frankford hospital and listed in stable condition.

A 19-year-old man who was also on the block at the time of the shooting was hit once in the back, police said. He was also taken to Aria Health's Frankford hospital and listed in stable. Cops said they believe he was an innocent bystander.

Investigators said though several people were out on their stoops at the time of the shooting, all told police that they did not witness it. The only information on the shooters was that two men, one wearing a blue striped shirt, were seen leaving the scene.

Cops were still investigating the shooting around 10 p.m. and said they found eight shell casings at the scene. It was unclear what sparked the shooting.
