Police are investigating four overnight shootings that left six people wounded, including a teenager.

In the first incident, a 21-year-old man was critical after he was shot during an attempted robbery in East Germantown. The victim had just left his house on Chelten Avenue near Boyer Street around 7:30 p.m. when a gunman accosted him and demanded, “Give me the money,” according to police spokeswoman Officer Tanya Little. The two started fighting, Little said, and the gunman fired one shot at the victim, hitting him once in the left shoulder.

The victim was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and listed in critical condition. The suspect is described as a 6-foot black man who wore a white hooded sweatshirt and was last seen fleeing east on Chelten.

About an hour later, two men told police they were standing at 30th and Cumberland streets in Strawberry Mansion when a man riding an older model 10-speed bicycle approached them and fired several shots at them, Little said. One man, 29, was hit once in the buttocks and taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

The second victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot six times, including in the right arm, stomach, buttocks and neck. He was also taken to Temple, Little said, where he immediately underwent surgery and remained in serious condition Sunday.

Less than a half-hour after that shooting, cops say someone opened fire during a house party on 20th Street near Independence in Northwest Philly’s West Oak Lane section. In that incident, Little said, a 25-year-old man was wounded once in the right side of his chest. He drove himself to Albert Einstein Medical Center and was treated and released.

A second victim, 18, was also hit once in the right elbow, Little said. He was taken to Einstein by police and listed in stable condition. The victim told police he did not see who fired, and cops said there may have been more than one shooter.

Early Sunday morning, cops responded to a shooting in North Philly’s Hartranft section at Jessup and Huntingdon streets and found a 16-year-old boy bleeding from a single gunshot wound to his back.

Little said the teen was taken to Temple University Hospital and listed in stable condition later Sunday, and told police that he was standing on the corner talking to another man around 12:40 a.m. when a late-model white minivan approached the intersection and someone opened fire from the passenger side. No description of the shooter was available other than the vehicle.

Two parked cars were also struck by gunfire in that incident, Little said.

Cops have not yet made arrests in any of the shootings.
