Police were investigating two shootings Wednesday night that left two men in critical condition.
In the first, an 18-year-old was shot at Monmouth and Janney streets in Port Richmond around 8 p.m., according to police. Wounded in twice in the shoulder and once in the face, the teen was initially reported in stable condition at Temple University Hospital, but was downgraded to extremely critical about an hour later.
In that shooting, cops found the victim's blood and three .25-caliber shell casings at the scene. A surveillance camera outside a nearby corner store may have captured it, police said. No arrests were made as of 9:30 p.m.
In the second shooting, a 36-year-old man was shot several times at 18th and Conlyn streets, in East Germantown, shortly before 9 p.m.
