Police are searching for an ATV driver who fled after running over a 48-year-old woman in Port Richmond earlier tonight.

Police are searching for an ATV driver who fled after running over a 48-year-old woman in Port Richmond earlier tonight.

Police said the hit-and-run accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. near Emerald and Cambria streets. The victim, whose name was not released, was admitted to Temple University Hospital in stable condition with unknown injuries.

 
Highway Patrol cops chased after the ATV. The driver, described as a white man in a green shirt, took off on foot rear railroad tracks at Frankford Avenue and Lehigh. A woman who was riding on the ATV with him was arrested.
