Police arrested one in a West Philadelphia gun slaying last night.

Police arrested one man in a West Philadelphia gun slaying last night.

Someone shot Markland Jones, 27, multiple times in the chest and arms just before 6 p.m. on 50th Street near Market, said Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman. Jones, who lived on the block where the shooting occured, died 15 minutes later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police arrested a suspect but have not yet released his or the victim's names, nor revealed a motive.
