Police are searching for Khalil Walker-Shabazz, 21, in connection with a shooting last week in Mayfair that left Jerry Edwards, 25, dead in a parked car on Brous Avenue near Nesper Street.

Police are searching for Khalil Walker-Shabazz, 21, in connection with a shooting last week in Mayfair that left Jerry Edwards, 25, dead in a parked car on Brous Avenue near Nesper Street.

Cops responded to a radio call for gunshots around 5:20 a.m. on Oct. 3 and found the victim sitting in the driver’s seat of a green, 1997 Dodge Stratus. The man was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Information on the shooter’s motive was not immediately available.

Cops said Walker-Shabazz lives on Cottman Avenue near Sackett Street and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Tipsters are asked to call the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334, or call 9-1-1.
