A man working security at a banquet hall party in Germantown Saturday allegedly stabbed a party guest following a fight over photographs, police said.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, was attending a party at Temptations Banquet Hall on Chelten Avenue near Wayne. He was getting pictures printed from a photographer there when around 1:30 a.m. a 52-year-old man working security at the function told the photographer to close up shop for the night, according to police.

An argument that broke out between the victim and the security guard briefly turned physical, but the security guard walked away, police said. However, about three minutes later, the guard returned with a knife in his hand and stabbed the victim once in his stomach, according to police.

Even after being stabbed, the party guest continued to fight with the security guard and eventually rendered the guard unconscious, police said.

Officers located the knife on location and took both men to Albert Einstein Medical Center. The victim was treated and released and the offender, whom police have not yet identified, remains in stable condition at the hospital.
