Cops: Robber shoots at men in takeout, runs away, returns and fires again
Three men were inside a Chinese restaurant in Northwest Philly's Ogontz section late Wednesday night when a revolver-wielding thug fired several shots at them, ran away, then returned seconds later and fired more shots, cops said.

Three men were inside a Chinese takeout in Northwest Philly's Ogontz section late Wednesday night when a revolver-wielding thug fired several shots at them, ran away, then returned seconds later and fired more shots, cops said.
Police said the shooting happened inside the Happy House Chinese restaurant, on Ogontz Avenue new Champlost, shortly before 10:30 p.m. and appeared to be a robbery. Surveillance cameras captured the entire incident, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
Only one of the men held up, an 18-year-old, was hit. He suffered a graze wound to the arm, police said, but initially refused medical attention. His grandmother later drove him to Albert Einstein Medical Center, according to investigators, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police said they received information that the sidewalk in front of the Chinese takeout is a drug location, and that the two other men who were in the store at the time of the shooting were nowhere to be found when cops arrived at the scene.
The victim's jacket, dropped cash and one bullet marked the scene late Wednesday night as cops investigated.
The shooter was described as a tall man wearing all dark clothing and a hat. He was last seen around the corner running west on Champlost Avenue.

- The Crux of the problem isn't who's commenting but the issue of savagery in the Phila Neighborhoods, which are overwhelmingly Black in nature.
The question I have is, as outlined in the essay above, If the police are aware of the drug activity outside this establishment, what are the steps taken by the police department to eradicate the nonsense?
Is this one of the many "containment areas" in Phila, where the police look the other way as illegal activity is taking place to keep the scourge in this immediate area? What about the law abiding citizens living in fear from the criminals involved with this madness?

Because if they didn't, there would be none. Blacks in the 'hood don't run businesses- small, medium or large.
