A man was stabbed by his twin brother in Old City early Saturday morning and sought refuge in a parking garage, according to police.

At 12:53 a.m., police responded to the Pier 3 Condominium building on Christopher Columbus Boulevard near Church Street, where they were met by a security guard who told them a stabbing victim was in the building's parking garage, police said.

There, authorities found a 38-year-old man with stab wounds to his stomach. Police said the man told him he'd been stabbed by his twin brother during an argument inside of an apartment.

The victim was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition, according to a police spokeswoman. His brother, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken in to custody and arrested for the assault.

The nature of the argument that led to the stabbing remains unknown.
