Police are searching for Kamil Singleton, 23, in connection with a shooting in Point Breeze that left a 25-year-old man with a wound to his face on Aug. 31.
Around 6:15 p.m., Singleton allegedly fired a shot at a man who was sitting on Manton Street near 17th, police said. The victim ran from Singleton and realized that he had been wounded. Police did not disclose the motive behind the shooting.
Singleton was arrested for a shooting in December of 2011 and was held on $150,000 bail. The case was continued because the victim failed to appear in court, according to court documents.
Before his December 2011 arrest, Singleton had been arrested six times dating back to 2006 on charges inclusing robbery, weapons offenses, assault and drug possession, acording to court records.
Singleton is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 130 pounds and lives on 18th Street near Mifflin in South Philadelphia, police said.
