In the latest shooting in Philadelphia that put a young child in the line of fire, cops say a man was shot several times in North Philadelphia’s Ludlow section Wednesday morning while sitting in a car with his 1-year-old daughter.
Police said someone opened fire on the 25-year-old victim shortly after 10 a.m. while he was sitting in a black Nissan at 4th and Jefferson streets. He was hit twice in the left leg, once in the right leg, once in the right shoulder and once in the left shoulder. The child was uninjured, cops said.
The man was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, and his daughter was being cared for by neighbors after the shooting.
Cops were looking for a man in a black Lexus last seen headed south on 4th Street toward Girard Avenue in connection with the shooting, and no arrests had been made later Monday.
