A man was shot to death in the city's Logan section Tuesday afternoon, police said.

A man was shot to death in the city's Logan section Tuesday afternoon, police said.

 The victim, who police said is 32 years old, was near the intersection of 15th Street and Duncannon Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. when someone opened fire on him, hitting him in the left side of the chest.

 He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead there at 1:56 p.m.

 So far, police have made no arrests in the shooting, and the motive is unknown. It is the third fatal shooting in roughly 24 hours in the city, bringing the year's homicide toll to 48, compared with 81 as of this date last year.
