Cops: Argument leads to stabbing

An argument between neighbors escalated to a fistfight, then a stabbing in Southwark Tuesday evening, police said.

Two men were arguing on Washington Avenue, near 4th Street,  about 5 p.m. when one pulled a knife and stabbed the other once in the chest., police said.

The 42-year-old victim was taken to Episcopal Hospital, and was later transferred to Temple University Hospital. Police said that as of 11:45 p.m., the man was in stable condition.

The suspect in the stabbing is a 46-year-old  man who police said fled the scene in a white pickup truck with tinted windows.
