Boy, 2, falls from second floor window in Elmwood

A 2-year-old boy was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia after falling out of a second floor window at a house in the Elmwood section of West Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.

A 2-year-old boy was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia after falling out of a second floor window at a house in the Elmwood section of West Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.

After the boy fell from the window he landed on the roof of the first floor of the home, police said.

Police and medics responded to the house on 62nd Street near Elmwood Avenue around 4:35 p.m.

The boy was listed in stable condition as of 7 p.m., said Officer Tanya Little, a police department spokeswoman.

It was unclear how the boy fell out of the window and police made no arrests.
