Boy, 15, charged in East Germantown shooting

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder and related offenses for shooting and critically wounding a boy of the same age Sunday afternoon in East Germantown.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder and related offenses for shooting and critically wounding a boy of the same age Sunday afternoon in East Germantown.

The victim, who has not been identified, was shot in the chest around 3:30 p.m. on Washington Lane near Musgrave Street, police said. A short time after the shooting, police said, officers stopped the suspected gunman a few blocks from the scene, on Walnut Lane near Magnolia Street.

The teen arrested has not been identified because he is a juvenile. The victim remained in critical condition Monday at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
