Bomb threat prompts high school evacuation

A bomb threat this morning prompted an evacuation of Edison High School in North Philly.

A teacher found a note containing threats about a bomb about 10:35 a.m., police spokeswoman Officer Christine O'Brien said. Police swept the school, found nothing concerning and allowed students to return at 11:47 a.m., O'Brien said.

About 1,200 students attend Edison, on Luzerne Street near Front, said school district spokesman Fernando Gallard.
