Police have arrested a Southwest Philadelphia man for the shooting death earlier this month of Jahmeer Alphonso Jett, an aspiring boxer who was the son of a Philadelphia police officer.

Kevin Davis, 25, of 61st Street near Buist Avenue, was charged with murder and related offenses for gunning down Jett, 19, outside his home on Grays Avenue near 62nd in Southwest Philadelphia, at 5:50 p.m. on Jan. 17.
