Nearly six months after nine people were shot outside of the Felton Supper Club, police have arrested one of the men who is believed to be responsible for the bloodshed.
Montana Bell, 20, of Adams Avenue near Orthodox Street, was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related offenses, police said. Bell's arrest was the result of an "extensive" investigation that included the cooperation of key witnesses, according to police.
The shooting occurred around 2:45 a.m. May 22 as hundreds of people poured out of the Felton Supper Club on Rising Sun Avenue and Louden Street in Feltonville, police said.
Bell and another, as of yet, unidentified man, fired 18 rounds outside of the club for reasons that remain unclear, police said.
Injured in the hail of gunfire were five women and four men ages 19 to 35. All of the victims, including a 23-year-old man who was shot five times in the back and legs, survived.
