Armed thugs rob two bodegas

Two bodegas were robbed Monday night at gunpoint by the same group of thugs in North Philadelphia, police said.

Four men barged into Torres Grocery on Dauphin near Fawn at 9 p.m. At least two of men had guns, according to investigators, and they pistol-whipped the owner and an employee and then robbed them of cash, cell phones and keys.

They also stole from the register. The crooks got away with about $700, while the owner refused medical treatment.

Then, at 9:45 p.m. the thieves robbed a store on Oxford near 22nd. Five people were in the store at the time including two workers and three customers. No one was injured.
