Cops: Infant abducted in Upper Merion

Pennsylvania State Police issued an Amber Alert for Saavni Venna, a 10-month-old girl who was abducted during a homicide in Upper Merion Township Monday afternoon.

State police said Saavni was last seen at the Marquis Apartments on Dekalb Pike near King Circle in King of Prussia between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday.

Saavni is described as Asian with black hair and brown eyes, about 2 feet 6 inches tall, about 21 pounds, and was wearing a white dress with pink flowers at the time of her abduction.

Additional details on the homicide and the circumstances of Saavni's abduction were not immediately available.

Tipsters are asked to call 9-1-1 or the Upper Merion Township police department at 610-265-3232.
