A surveillance camera recorded a North Philadelphia store clerk snatch the hood from a would-be armed robber’s head, then fight him and two of his accomplices off last Thursday.

Now police are hoping the footage will lead to the arrest of the three men who walked into the Dollar Store on Germantown Avenue near 13th Street and tried robbing it at gunpoint around 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 25.

The clerk got in a brief tussle with the three men and refused to give them any money. The three suspects pistol whipped the clerk before running off.
