Two men are in critical condition after being shot late Wednesday night in what appeared to be a drug-related incident in West Philadelphia, police said.
The men were shot around 11:40 p.m. on Pennsgrove Street near 41st Street in West Philadelphia.
Police are investigating a double shooting in North Philadelphia that left two men hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday night.
Shots were fired around 10:50 p.m. on Somerset Street near 25th Street.
Police said both victims are in their 30s.
Police are asking for help from the public to find a man who is wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Fox Chase on Saturday.
Around 10:30 a.m., a man walked into Vist Financial on Verree Road near Rhawn Street with a note demanding money, police said.
The man walked behind the teller station with the bank manager and demanded money from two drawers and the bank’s vault.
A surveillance camera recorded a North Philadelphia store clerk snatch the hood from a would-be armed robber’s head, then fight him and two of his accomplices off last Thursday.
Now police are hoping the footage will lead to the arrest of the three men who walked into the Dollar Store on Germantown Avenue near 13th Street and tried robbing it at gunpoint around 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 25.
The clerk got in a brief tussle with the three men and refused to give them any money. The three suspects pistol whipped the clerk before running off.
Police are investigating a shooting in Kensington that left a man critically wounded Wednesday evening.
Shots rang out on Front Street near Berks Street around 7 p.m. and a man, who police said may be in his 30s, was shot in the chest.
The man was taken to Temple University Hospital, where police said he was listed in critical condition as of 8:30 p.m.
A 28-year-old man was killed tonight after he was shot several times throughout his body at 9:12 p.m. on Comly Street near Milnor in the Wissinoming section of the city.
The victim was transported to Aria Health’s Torresdale hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:04 p.m.
Police did not make any arrests or recover any weapons following the shooting, but were still investigating late Tuesday night.
Three men were injured in shootings Tuesday night, including two in one incident in the city’s Tioga section.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the right arm and a 45-year-old man shot in the left leg in that incident on North Bailey Street near Allegheny Avenue just before 7 p.m. Both were taken to Temple University Hospital and listed in stable condition last night. No arrests have been made.
In the second incident, a 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg shortly after 7 p.m. on Stevens Street near Large in Oxford Circle, and police said they apprehended a suspect near the scene minutes later.
Two men were robbed at gunpoint Sunday night after traveling from the suburbs to meet with men who posted ads on Craigslist claiming they had iPads to sell for $300.
A 45-year-old man met with two men at the Penrose Plaza Shopping Center on Island Avenue near Lindbergh Boulevard in Southwest Philly around 10:20 p.m., thinking he would return to Sharon Hill with an iPad, said Lt. John Walker of the Philadelphia Police Southwest Detective Division.
Instead, one of the men pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, took the man's $300 and the pair of thieves fled, Walker said.
Soon after, a 25-year-old man from King of Prussia met with two suspects who fit the same description on Yocum Street near 67th in Kingsessing.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven Store in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia in early May.
Maurice Hickaday, who lives on 27th Street near Somerset Street in North Philadelphia, was arrested Aug. 19, police announced Monday. He faces numerous charges, including assault, robbery, theft and weapons violations, according to court documents.
Three weeks before the alleged robbery, Hickaday was arrested on charges of assault, making terroristic threats and weapons violations, according to court documents. He posted his $15,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court for that incident on Sept. 15.
Police are investigating a shooting in East Germantown that left a man hospitalized in stable condition Monday afternoon.
A 21-year-old man was in the backyard of a home on Wister Street near Rodney Street just after 5 p.m. when he was shot once in the stomach, police said.
One of the man’s friends took him to Einstein Hospital, where police Chief Inspector Scott Small said he was listed in stable condition as of 6:30 p.m.
