Police were investigating several shootings in South Philadelphia Sunday evening, including a triple shooting that left a 6-year-old girl hospitalized.
The mayhem began around 9 p.m. Police said a 22-year-old man was shot in the left thigh outside at Marston and Dickinson streets in Grays Ferry. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by a private vehicle and listed in stable condition.
Six blocks away, a 16-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound to her right leg while standing in her yard on New Hope Street near Moore, police said. She was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition.
At 12th and Carpenter streets, a 27-year-old man was shot once in the right arm, once in the buttocks and suffered a graze wound to his left arm outside at 9:25 p.m., according to police. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital by medics and listed in stable condition.
