2 men hurt in shootings

Two shootings Tuesday evening left two men hospitalized in stable condition.

Two shootings Tuesday evening left two men hospitalized in stable condition.

About 6 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot once in the back of his left leg, on Warnock Street near Bainbridge in Bella Vista, police said.

The man was taken by a private vehicle to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was interviewed by police.

The victim told police the suspect was a black man with dreadlocks, about 5 feet 8 and was wearing a white T-shirt at the time.

Police said the shooting may have been drug-related.

About 7:30 p.m., a 53-year-old man was shot once in the back in North Philadelphia.

The man was shot on Edgley Street near 17th and was taken by Temple University Police to Temple University Hospital.

The man did not provide police with a description of who shot him, and no arrests were made.
