Cops: 'Massage therapists' charged with prostitution after Chinatown sting
Cops busted two massage parlors in Chinatown for alleged prostitution earlier this week, police announced Friday.
Undercover officers from the citywide vice unit conducted a weeklong sting beginning last week at two establishments – one on Cherry Street near 10th and another about a block away at 11th and Race streets. During the sting, police said, two women solicited the undercover cops for sex acts.
Both women, identified as Shun Yu Jin, 48, of Flushing, N.Y. and Ji Young Kim, 30, of Cherry Street near 10th, were arrested and charged with criminal solicitation and prostitution. Police said tips and complaints from citizens that illicit sex acts were being performed at the parlors led to their investigation.

It's wrong because of the human trafficking involved, I know from working within the fed on investigations. HOWEVER, when this is going on within the SHADOWS of the Philadelphia Police Department Head quarters and has been going on for DECADES, and now they are finally making arrests, there is something going on here. Cops being "paid off" maybe to look the other way? It's ashame what my beloved city has become, I hate being down here in El Paso, TX having to read about this stuff, oh well... How about them Eagles right? ICEInvestigator55- gimme a break...these gals love sex, plain and simple. the money is just icing on the cake
hannibal barca - African American slaves loved picking cotton too?
onlinescrabblecreep - my understanding is that prostitution is an accepted part of korean culture, crazy as it may seem to us westerners. for example, many koreans serviced japanese soldiers during the second world war.
hannibal barca - its definitely not an accepted part of korean culture. koreans barely show kissing on television and have a conservative culture.

Another rub and tug gone.................... Is this really a crime? I think not. Wildman Bill
SOmething different is going on here. Note: Prostitution in Chinatown has gone on for ages in Phila., and the "envelope" to the police has been the price to stay in business. These women, by their names, are Korean. Either they refused to play ball with the cops or the bigger fish (tongs) that control the prostitution in C-town didn't want them around.
