A 10-year-old boy was shot in the leg Monday night in Tacony, police said.

The boy was outside near the intersection of Marsden Street and Unruh Avenue around 8:15 p.m. when shots rang out, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small. Police believe the suspect had an argument with people inside the house he was shooting at, Small said, and the boy was caught in the crossfire.

The boy suffered a graze wound to the back of his right leg and was taken by medics to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where he was listed in stable condition.

Small said police found six .22-caliber casings at the scene. Police described the suspect as a black man about 5 feet 8 who wore a black hat, gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
