Quite a day

In support of the axiom that the craziest criminals dwell in the ‘burbs, I submit Exhibit A: Jason Pollock.

In further support of the axiom that the craziest criminals dwell in the 'burbs, I submit Exhibit A: Jason Pollock.

The Pottstown Mercury has a wild story (with video) out of Montgomery County this morning about Pollock's alleged "one-man crime spree." It's not like Pollock, 36, of Pottstown, was just robbing banks or knocking off corner pharmacies for pills, or anything boring like that:

A one-man crime spree started early Wednesday during an apparent domestic incident and evolved to include several vehicle thefts, home invasions, crashes and attempts to flee police before the man was apprehended in Lower Providence, police confirmed.

The incidents led to a brief lockdown at Pottsgrove High School, loss of power for several hours in Lower Providence, and the shutdown of Ridge Pike in Eagleville for a good part of the day.

Because while he was crashing stolen cars, kicking in doors and generally just going berserk, Pollock also tried to abduct a couple kids walking to their bus stop, according to police.

"It was just awful," said a Lower Providence resident.

According to the court docket, Pollock is facing the following charges. Let me make sure I have all this: Trespassing, aggravated assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, fleeing an officer, attempted kidnapping, luring a child into a motor vehicle, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault, reckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a vehicle, resisting arrest, accident involving an injury, reckless driving, careless driving, robbery and burglary.

Anyone know a good lawyer?
