Is Iguodala stepping up?

Monday, January 31, 2011, 12:09 AM
What we have this season is a 76ers team that is good enough to beat teams like the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls, but bad enough to lose twice at the Washington Wizards and at home against the Memphis Grizzlies. Essentially, this is a team without a leader. And that's the primary reason for the... Read more

Sixers blow big lead, fall to Grizzlies

Saturday, January 29, 2011, 12:07 AM
Video: The Sixers saw a 16-point fourth quarter evaporate as the Grizzlies came roaring back for a 99-94 win Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Inquirer's Marc Narducci reports. Read more

Another Bitter Defeat For the Sixers

Saturday, January 29, 2011, 12:00 AM
The excuse of youth will only go so far. Yes, the 76ers have a youthful makeup, but teams shouldn't squander 21-point leads with under four minutes to go in the fourth quarter at home to the Memphis Grizzlies. Give the Grizzlies plenty of credit for Friday's 99-94 victory over the Sixers at the Wells... Read more

Can Iguodala and Turner coexist?

Collins doesn't do garbage minutes

Monday, January 24, 2011, 11:34 PM
If you noticed, Doug Collins took a timeout with 46.4 seconds left in regulation, his team ahead 103-93. The timeout wasn't necessarily about preserving victory, although obviously anything could happen with these 76ers. It was about something more important: teaching winning habits. Tonight at the... A sobering back-to-back

Friday, January 21, 2011, 12:03 AM
The 76ers are now 2-9 in games decided by four points or less. They started the season 0-7, snagged two close games in a row, and have now lost back-to-back games in crunch time. What's the truth about this team? Do they have no clue what they're doing in the final few minutes? Are they learning? Are... Read more

A new, inventive way to lose

Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 11:56 PM
If for no other reason than to make sure to get a different headline on this blog (the last one says "Sixers master end-of-game situations" for goodness sakes!), we have to discuss Wednesday's ridiculous 99-98 overtime loss to the Orlando Magic. I could probably copy and paste from previous posts about... Read more

We're Back

Monday, January 17, 2011, 12:02 PM
It's been a long week of no blogging and no writing on these 76ers, but we're finally back at it for today's matinee at the Wells Fargo Center against the Charlotte Bobcats. Thanks to everyone for their patience and to Marc Narducci for being an awesome blogger for the last week. There's nothing too... Read more

Mastering the end-of-game situations

Monday, January 17, 2011, 6:27 PM
During one week away from the 76ers, I got one email topic more than any other: what happened between Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner during Friday night's win over the Milwaukee Bucks? Not having seen the interaction, but in reading other people's interpretations of it, we're just going to have to... Read more

Under Collins, Minutes Must Be Earned

Sunday, January 16, 2011, 5:01 PM
(We interrupt today's blog to include the three words that everybody's been waiting for - Kate returns Monday). *** Doug Collins has to tread that difficult line of developing a young player while also attemping to win games. And not surprisingly, the winning part has the greater emphasis. Collins... Read more
