Wyatt signs with Chinese basketball team

Khalif Wyatt is no longer unemployed.

The 6-foot-4 guard signed a one-year deal with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the China Basketball Association on Monday. This came four days after being released by the 76ers.

Wyatt, an undrafted rookie free agent out of Temple, appeared in four of the Sixers' seven preseason games. He averaged five points in limited action. The Norristown native also finished with four assists, one rebound, two steals and three turnovers.

Wyatt was a standout on the Sixers team in the Orlando Summer League. He averaged a team-best 13.8 points per game, or an analytic-friendly one point per 1.4 minutes. Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo, the second overall pick, averaged one point per 1.7 minutes.
