Wroten could return Wednesday vs. Hawks

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The Sixers are, once, again without reserve point guards Tony Wroten [sprained right knee] and Alexey Shved [left hip flexor strain] in Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Coach Brett Brown said there's a chance Wroten could play in Wednesday's game at the Atlanta Hawks.

"Just from listening to our medical people, it's seems that Tony is closer than Alexey," Brown said.

No timetable has been given for Shved's return.

With no games on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the Sixers will have three days to re-assess where the two are in their rehabilitation.

Saturday marked the fifth game Wroten missed since suffering his injury on a driving layup late in a loss against the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 26.  The 6-foot-6, 205-pounder is the team's leading scorer at 17.9 points per game.

Shved averages 10.4 points. This is the third consecutive game he missed. Shved suffered his injury against the San Antonio Spurs on Dec. 1 and aggravated it during practice the following day.
