Wroten, Marshall eager to return

T.J. McConnell has been able to thrive as the 76ers primary point guard while Tony Wroten and Kendall Marshall rehabilitate right anterior cruciate ligament tears.

Coach Brett Brown said three weeks ago that Marshall could return at the earliest in November. He added that Wroten would be sidelined at least until December.

However, on Friday, Brown said he was unsure when they would return. The players are eager to get back on the court.

They haven't had any setbacks during their rehabilitation, which has included cutting to the basket. For now, they are allowed to participate in full-court games of two-on-two.

Marshall said that he's learning a lot and is able to be a voice on the team while watching.

"More of a coach than a player right now," he said of his role. "I think that's good for me learning the game. But it's frustrating sitting over there. I'm ready to go. I want to be out there with my team. I want to help any way I can."

So does Wroten.

"I'm doing my part to come back," he said. "Obviously, they said December. But I want to come back earlier if it's right. So I'm taking it one day at a time, and hopefully I'll come back sooner."
