World Series Effect: Sixers announce potential time change

The 76ers have announced that if there is a World Series game on Wednesday, Oct. 29, they will move the start of their season opener to 6 p.m.
“We will move the start time of our home opener to 6 p.m. should there be a World Series game that evening to allow our fans an opportunity to attend our game and to be able to see the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series,” said Lara Price, Sixers Senior Vice President.
The Sixers also announced that if there is a World Series game that evening, the AT&T Pavilion at the Wachovia Center will remain open after the Sixers game late into the evening for fans to watch the baseball game.
