Of course Iggy should be traded. He is over paid for a role player. He thinks he is better than he really is.As long as he is with the Sickers keeps Thadd. Young from playing his true position. Not only that,he has become like Mcnabb...A whiner

Let the record show that @ 5:25 EST, Kate Fagan (Good Job, Kate) correctly assessed THE SIXERS 2ND BIGGEST PROBLEM, while also providing ONE OF THE SOLUTIONS for this team - "For a while the Sixers were the young guns, running and trapping, somewhere along the way everything got thrown into the pot and there doesn't seem to be an identity, or a direction." Since, the Sixers are basically the same team as last year (sans the coach on the floor - Miller), shouldn't they be running and trapping again in order to have the same success they had before? Moreover, as Kate correctly stated immediately thereafter - "Obviously mostly an identity comes from having an "IT" player." Indeed, the key to moving past the .500 mark (last year's team with a new PG) and becoming a contender is to obtain an "IT" player, but NO TOP FA IS GOING TO SIGN HERE UNTIL THEY SIXERS GET AN "IT" PLAYER ... SO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT CAP SPACE AS AN IMMEDIATE FIX ... since it's a panacea that is the biggest fallacy in sports! In fact, the only way to get an "IT" player is either to draft one (hmmmmmm ... 25% of the ping pong balls for the ONLY superstar available in the draft (John Wall), IF the team finishes worse than the Nets? Yeah ... NOT ... GONNA ... HAPPEN! Instead, the answer is a well thought out trade that immediately and dramatically improves the team overall - think LW, Thad, JSmith and JK for Danny Granger and Earl Watson (whose contract expires in July). This improves the Pacers depth, as well as their 5th worst rated 3FG%. More importantly, the Sixers defense improves and they would have an emerging superstar with which to draw another one, (once Sam's contract is renewed or Brendan Haywood is signed this summer), as well as a team that could compete immediately in the Eastern Conference. Oh ... the BIGGEST PROBLEM ... without a new coach who can effectively use THESE players in an uptempo, defensive oriented approach, ANY player movement will prove worthless.

kev mitchel... your a joke. All Iggy does is stuff the stat sheets... he never complains. Is he a #1 guy no... that was suppose to be Brand and just recently he's been acting like the #1 guy. As for Young... he's a good player... but he is a turnover machine. I can almost tell in advance when the turnover is coming. The Sixers mistake was under evaluating Millers contribution to this team... and now they have a rookie PG that is learning on the job while Miller is doing his job on the Left Coast. Thanks again for that one Ed... If anybody should be removed from this organization it should be Ed Stephanski...

Sudalaal, while I completely agree with your point, I just don't see Indiana making that trade. If Indy shopped Granger around, they'd get a lot more than that package....not to mention, if Indy is trading Granger, you can be sure they'd make the team getting Granger take TJ Ford, who they've been trying to trade for well over a year now.

If the Sixers had hired a different coach in the first place...( Van Gundy, A.Johnson or Collins Etc) or maybe kept Andre Miller they would probably be 31-20 instead of 20-31 and we would not be talking about making trades. Also trading Iggy is not gonna help..they will not get equal value back in return and if they get an expiring contract...what will they use the money for ??? Who is gonna want to come to Philly that is better than Iggy. There's no guarantees in free agency. Most of these "coveted" free agents to be are probably gonna stay right where they are.

I've been a Sixers fan for 40 yrs plus. I've seen some good players come & seen some good ones go!..Now i've been a Iggy & Dalembert fan since day once & still is, but!..If the rumor is true & the Sixers are looking for the best deal out there...Then the Iggy & Dalembert for Suns Stoudamire & J.Richardson makes a lot of sense & "A NO BRAINER!.. This trade satisfies both organizations & all parties involved. This trade brings legitamicy in all positions, & maybe a nice playoff run & NBA Championship run this year. We can now take on the Bostons, Clevelands, Orlando's & definitely the Lakers. Stupanski just have to get some balls for a change look at this as a Blockbustering upgrade & winner if he wants a championship team. Richardson plays SG/SF ( will help Thad), does everything Iggy does & shoot better, while Amare does everything that Dalembert does plus a whole lot more. Holiday & Lou at PG will benefit a whole lot with these to guys this year..So will Speights, Young & others with these two guys..Yeah their's the chances Amare might or might not opt out. But who cares we can't loose in this deal, we'll either take on that 17mil (he's not Dalembert he's worth it), or make a trade, re-sign him, or use his cap space. BELIEVE ME US FANS GOT STEFANSKI BACK ON THIS ONE!..We need a Center & Amare is the guy. Stefanski got to keep building a championship squad, but to keep waiting for this current team to get it fully together really STINKS as of today!..Everybody wants a NBA CHAMPIONSHIP & Stefanski got to understand this is a gutsy move, but a must road to take. FORGET THE FUTURE POSSIBILITIES, LIKE THE LOTTERY & FREE AGENCY, WHEN THIS TRADE IS A 1OO% UPGRADE BABY!...& DIS "DA TRUTH"!..lol(lots of luck) & Go Sixers!...

Wow! Just....WOW!!!! This trade would absolutely NOT give the Sixers the ability to take on Boston...ok, maybe Boston because they aren't very good...but Cleveland and Orlando?!?!? HAHAHA! No. I can't stand Iggy, but I'd rather keep him than overpay for an aging Jason Richardson. Of course, I love getting rid of Dalembert in any trade, but Stoudamire would opt out at the end of this season and you'd have nothing but another horrible contract (Richardson's). Sixers won't be competitive until they get a consistant scorer and a PG. I like what I see in Holliday, but it's too early to tell. Bottom line, this team is much further away from Cleveland, Orlando, even Atlanta than one lousy trade.
