Sixers 118, Nets 100

First quarter: Sixers 28, Nets 26

Because Sam Dalembert (right knee sprain/contusion) and Andre Miller (resting) were on the bench in street clothes, the Sixers starting lineup looked a little jumbled. Head coach Maurice Cheeks said before the game he might rest Theo Ratliff, too, although Ratliff would suit up.

Sixers starting lineup: Lou Williams, Kareem Rush, Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, and Marreese Speights.

Nets starting lineup: Simmons, Yi, Lopez, Carter, Harris.

Tonight's starting lineup is not an accurate reflection of anything that will happen next Wednesday (Oct. 29) during the season opener. Cheeks is giving people blows and avoiding injury.

One night after shooting a miserable 0 for 9 beyond the arc, the Sixers' Rush hit a three from the right corner less than a minute into the game. Then Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams splashed threes.

Halftime: Sixers 62, Nets 50

Sixers scoring: Iguodala 5, Brand 0, Speights 10, Rush 9 (two 3's), Williams 12, Evans 5, Ivey 5, Young 9, Green 4, Marshall 3.

Nets scoring: Simmons 6, Yi 6, Lopez 5, Carter 11, Harris 10, Anderson 7, Douglas-Roberts 2, Gill 3.

Third quarter: Sixers 87, Nets 74

The Sixers are shooting very well from beyond the arc (11 for 20 for 55.0 percent).

Final: Sixers 118, Nets 100

If it's possible to pinpoint one preseason game as being more meaningless than the others -- if that's possible -- than this was the game. The Sixers went without two of their starters and looked to be surviving from one end of this thing to the other ... "injury free" ... as Cheeks has said.
