The 76ers have signed former Temple standout Micheal Eric to their Orlando Summer League roster.

The center/power forward averaged 8.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks this past season for the Canton Charge of the NBA Developmental League. The 6-foot-11, 240-pounder’s scoring average increased to 17 points in three playoff games with the Charge.

As a Temple senior in 2011-12, Eric’s season was cut to 19 games due to a knee injury. However, he averaged nine points and a team-high 8.8 rebounds.  The 25-year-old averaged six points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while playing 101 games for the Owls.

Eric will join former Temple teammate Khalif Wyatt on the Sixers summer league team. Another former teammate Lavoy Allen is a reserve post player for the Sixers.
