Sixers partner with Philly Freedom Valley YMCA

The Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA is the 76ers’ first SIXERS STRONG community partner.

SIXERS STRONG is a community outreach program focusing on efforts to improve the life trajectory of local children.  The Sixers will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the YMCA to announce the partner. Afterward, the Sixers’ Flight Squad will conduct a basketball clinic in the gym.

“The YMCA is legendary in its commitment to enhancing the lives of children, making them the perfect first partner for us as we work together to strengthen kids and our communities,”  Sixers CEO Scott O’Neil said in a press release. “For years, the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA has inspired kids to not only better themselves, but also build up those around them through volunteerism and service. They embody the ideals we will drive home through SIXERS STRONG, both now and in the years to come.”

SIXERS STRONG is focused on making physical, educational, emotional, nutritional, charitable and environmental impacts on children.
