Sixers open season on Dec. 26 at Portland

The NBA released its abbreviated 66-game schedules on Tuesday night on NBATV. The show highlighted some of the NBA's marquee matchups (the Christmas Day games as well as Heat vs. Lakers matchups).

The NBA released its abbreviated 66-game schedules on Tuesday night on NBATV. The show highlighted some of the NBA's marquee matchups (the Christmas Day games as well as Heat vs. Lakers matchups).

The 76ers will open their schedule on Dec. 26 at the Portland Trail Blazers. Their first home game will be Jan. 6 against the Detroit Pistons.

The Sixers will play their first five games of the season on the road; they'll play their final five games of the season on the road. In the middle, they play 18 of 22 games at the Wells Fargo Center. The Sixers will have two sets of back-to-back-to-back games.
