Remember Lloyd Pierce?

He was rumored in July to be a candidate for the 76ers head coaching job.  That job eventually went to Brett Brown on Aug 12. But, Pierce is still coming to Philadelphia.

League sources have confirmed the Sixers hiring of the former Memphis Grizzlies player-development coach to a similar position Sunday. It was first reported by Yahoo! Sports.

This will be Pierce’s fourth NBA assistant-coaching job. He worked in Memphis the past two seasons after being an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors during the 2010-11 season. Before that, he served as the Cleveland Cavaliers' player-development coordinator for three seasons.
