Sixers acquire forward Dorell Wright from Golden State Warriors

Already loaded with players at small forward, the Sixers added another on Tuesday, acquiring Dorell Wright from the Golden State Warriors in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick, according to a league source. 

Wright, 6-7 and  in the final year of a contract that will pay him $4.4 million this season, averaged 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game last season for the Warriors in 27 minutes per game. He joins a group of small forwards in Philadelphia that already has Andre Iguodala and first-round pick Mo Harkless. 

The move can be made official on Wednesday when the moratorium on trades ends on July 11. The Sixers have agreed in principal to deal with Lavoy Allen (two years, $6 million), Spencer Hawes (two years, $13 million) and Nick Young (one year, $6 million).

The Sixers have also agreed to use their amnesty provision on Elton Brand, which will allow the final year of his contract ($18.2 million) to come off of the books.  In amnestying, Brand the Sixers created the cap space required to trade for Wright.
