Report: Sixers trade Holiday for Nerlens Noel

The 76ers traded Jrue Holiday to New Orleans for Pelicans first-round Nerlens Noel and the New Orleans' 2014 first-round. The Sixers will also send this season's 42d overall draft pick with Holiday.

Noel, a center out of Kentucky, was the sixth overall draft pick in Thursday's NBA draft.

"Jrue is shocked," Holiday's agent Tony Dutt told Yahoo! "He understands it as business as well. He's OK. It is what it is. Something we didn't expect."

The Sixers also added Michael Carter-Williams with their 11th pick of the first round. Carter-Williams was a Syracuse point guard.  Carter-Williams and Noel are both from Massachusetts and very good friends.
