Report: Sixers considering late first-round pick
Don't be surprised if the 76ers try to acquire a late first-round pick in the June 27 NBA draft.
The organization appears to be interested in doing just that, Hoopsworld.com reported Thursday evening. The Sixers have a first-round pick (11th overall) and two second-round selections (35th and 42d). Assuming it doesn't draft a center with the 11th pick, the organization could attempt to nab one of the final-round picks to draft a post player, the report said.
Lucas Nogueira (7-foot, 220 pounds) of Brazil and Mouhammadou Jaiteh (6-11, 249) of France are mentioned in the report as centers the Sixers would be interested in drafting late in the first round.
