I love the projected pick. I've seen Faried play a few times (both his NCAA tournament games) and I love him. Outside of Derrick Williams, I want this guy most out of everyone in the draft. Reminds me of DeJuan Blair. Isn't the tallest guy, but he is tough and will fight for rebounds. Hope we take him, but who am I kidding, we'll take whatever small forward jumped the highest in the workouts.

And for all those that don't like Faried because he's shot (even though he has a long wingspan), would you rather have another stiff like Jason Smith or Spencer Hawes that are allergic to the low block. How'd Greg Oden and Hasheem Thabeet work out? They were both drafted because they were tall, even though they didn't have any translatable skills. We need some toughness on this team. Half the time Iggy just doesn't take the ball to the basket and instead takes jumpers, Turner's soft, Hawes is soft, Thad doesn't really rebound for a PF. We need a guy that's willing to go in there and do the dirty work. Trade Iggy for Ellis, start Brand at the 5, Faried at the 4, Thad at the 3, Ellis at the 2 and Jrue at the 1. We'd have a much more efficient offense because Iggy won't be jacking up shots every five seconds (even though Ellis will fill that role).

VROdemer..great job, I got it from here....Faried's specific skill of rebounding fit's our specific need..the Sixers are best when they are in transition, and rebounding/outlets will enable us to run more, not just when we get steals..Faried runs like the wind, complimenting a Thaddeus Young during games would have coaches scratching their heads...Setting picks, offensive rebounds, follow up oints...these are things that usually second rounders or free agents that make it do....This guy wants to do this..he is a warrior....Many of the other 4's who may be around at 16 are all ok, but do not have the upside Faried has at the "less glamorous" things...Teams that have these kinds of "pests" are very hard to play against...arms flailing, constant movement...Really hope he's there...Sixers, don't drop this one.
