Thanks for the great coverage Kate. Don’t worry about the belligerent email & comments. There are people in this world that like being angry, and any excuse they can find to be mad, they jump on it…I’m for the signing, and don’t see it slowing any of the young players progress. As far as the better draft position argument, I’ve always been against tanking a season because it improves the chances of a higher draft pick. In my opinion, that’s a loser mentality. When you have the will to win, things have a way of taking care of themselves…Go Sixers!

True fans? Come on now. 11,000 a night and I doubt you were one of them....meaning not a true fan. People that are Iverson fans don't know basketball. I recognize he has a lot of individual skill and can make people look stupid on D. But he is all sizzle and no team. It's just a fact.

BTW I'm not a hater, but I am a realist. I'll watch b/c it will be interesting but the facts are that he's a 40% shooter who doesn't make his teammates better b/c he's trying to make sure he gets his shots. I get it he played hard and he had a crossover that made people fall down that people who know nothing about basketball love. Did he play well or the right way....no. Larry Brown had to surround him with guys who didn't care if they got the ball to succeed. Everytime he was surrounded by a talented player here they got run out of town. No one else did that for him hence 4 teams in 3 years. He'll put up 35 a few nights on 35 shots and the people who are more concerned about looking good than winning will be happy....and they'll win just enough to keep them out of the lottery which is what we don't need. Good times.. But again I'll watch so I guess ultimately the Sixers win b/c this is clearly a business decision.
