As covered in an earlier blog post (you can find all of that information here: exhibition game) a game between "Team Philly" and "Team Melo" is scheduled for Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. at The Palestra. The game already included all-NBA rosters for both sides, plus Carmelo Anthony, plus 76ers combo guard Lou Williams, plus a bunch of solid NBA names.

Now it includes LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Kevin Durant -- four of basketball's biggest names (including Anthony) will be playing in Philly in two weeks.

Tickets for the game will go on *pre-sale tomorrow (Tuesday). For more information email Rahim Thompson at contact@thechosenleague.com*. Prices are currently set between $30 and $50. The game will be broadcast on the web on The Basketball Channel.

The game was organized by Rahim Thompson, who in 2002 founded The Chosen League in Philly.

Kelprod2 I guess you didnt have cable last year, because the sixers have a great young squad that'll grow under Doug Collins. Damn, I wish I home to get these Palestra tickets. Durant will dominate!

I'll stick to college or HS ball, not the bastardized version that that the pros play. There's definitely an I in a NBA team. Naismith would be rolling over in his grave.

HS and college hoops stinks on ice. The NBA guys do amazing things. Naismith was an innovator and would be thrilled how his idea evolved.

NBA basketball is the best- by a long way. College basketball has exuberant fans, but the quality pales in comparison to the pros who would dazzle Naismith with their breath-taking abilities.

no venue deserves this more than the Palestra. any game attended there feels historic, and the old girl will surely be rocking in a couple of weeks.

Hope I can get up there for this game. Comparing HS basketball to college basketball to the NBA is like comparing apples to oranges. While they are both fruits the are different. I love basketball and appreciate the differences. If you don't like it don't watch but then how can you have an informed opinion?
