Injuries not expected to keep Kazemi, Leslie out of summer league

ORLANDO -- 76ers guard Travis Leslie and power forward Arsalan Kazemi are expected to play in Sunday's Orlando Pro Summer League opener against the Houston Rockets despite dealing with injuries.

Leslie, who played this past season in the NBA Developmental League, has a groin injury. Kazemi, the Sixers second-round pick out of Oregon, has a soft-tissue issue in his ankle.

Leslie missed Friday's practice. On Saturday, he shot the ball in the gym and participated in the early portion of practice.

"But for precautionary reasons we held him out [after that]," said assistant coach Michael Curry, who is running the Sixers summer-league team. "The same thing with A.K. We held him out as well after he did a ton of the early work just to make sure that they are able to go tomorrow."
