Iguodala to sit against Orlando

Iguodala to give his ailing knee a rest.

Andre Iguodala, who has been battling right knee tendinitis, won't play in tonight's game against the Orlando Magic at the Wells Fargo Center.

Coach Doug Collins made the announcement following this morning's shootaround.

"After the game the other night he felt that a few days rest would do him good," said Collins, referring to Friday's home win over the Toronto Raptors. "That knee is a little sore."

Iguodala says he never likes to sit, but felt it was best with two regular season games left before the postseason begins this weekend.

"I think (the rest) can help a little bit," Iguodala said. "We can stay on top of it."

The Sixers will close their regular season at hom on Wednesday against Detroit. It has not been decided if Iguodala will play in that game.
