Heat vs. 76ers ...

POSTED: Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 4:20 PM

Although the NBA is breaking protocol and releasing the 2010-11 schedule in parts, instead of all at once, there have been certain marquee games (think any game played by the Miami Heat) already leaked.

Tonight on NBA TV, the league will release some of the holiday/marquee matchups. The schedule will be released in full next week, Aug. 10.

But here's this piece of info, which should be helpful to folks planning their 2010-11 season around seeing the Heat: according to the Sun-Sentinel's "preliminary copy" of the NBA schedule, the Miami Heat will be opening the season on the road against the Boston Celtics on Oct. 26. The next night, Oct. 27, the Heat are scheduled to play the 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.

Kate, Welcome back, but Zeru77 is right. The NBA is boring, only a few teams are worth watching, and the game has become a form of sumo wrestling. Have you seen how long it takes for the last 2 minutes of a game to be played? The NBA is a big scheme to extract money from losing frachises to fatten the wallets of the winners. There is no competitive balance and no hope of it. Let's wait for the Big 5.

When miami only had wade james and bosh and needed to fill the remainder of the roster Someone mentioned that the point guard and the center would BOTH be shooters to stretch the floor to keep the lane open for wade james and bosh. Z and Eddie House. Someone also recommended (somehow) bringing in cousins and whiteside along with sam. And that person was ridiculed for both scenarios. Before the scenarios actually happened. That person knows" just a little " about the NBA game. Stefanski brand can be moved. YOU ARE TRYING TO WIN THE TRADE THOUGH!! Not going to happen.. You are going to lose the trade. you will have to include thad or lou. AND MULTIPLE PICKS!! To a team that does not have a post scorer. AT ALL!! Lou thad and brand will start in charlotte and would be an upgrade over augustine and diaw and diop. Bring in Stephen Jackson. SIGN T MAC!!!!!! Holiday6'3", Stephen Jackson6'8", iguodala6'6", T Mac6'8", Smith6'9"/6'10 THAT WILL WORK!!! Stop trying to win the trade and get brand out of here. Lou thad and a few picks will do it.

Welcome back Kate! You probably noticed that nothing really happened in the NBA while you were gone.
