Elson available tonight

76ers center Francisco Elson, acquired from the Milwaukee Bucks at the NBA trading deadline, will be available for tonight's game at the Wachovia Center, which also happens to be against the Bucks.

"Yes, he's available tonight," Sixers coach Eddie Jordan said in his pre-game availability. "When he practiced the last two days, he was active. We just want him to move around and make sure he can get through a game. Get some minutes under his belt. When you're coming back like that, it's part of the rehab process. That's what this is."

When Elson was acquired, it was unclear whether he would ever play a game with the Sixers. He was recovering from hernia surgery and has been on the inactive list since arriving.

"At the time, yeah, I didn't know," Jordan said of Elson playing. "We didn't know how long it would be. There were predictions out there. But one prediction was he would play a handful of games. And on the other hand there was a prediction he wouldn't play any."

Elson said he was excited to "get back on the court and see what I can do."

"It won't be more than 30 seconds, but just to get back out there and get that feeling back and go from there," Elson said.

Sixers guard-forward Rodney Carney (sore right foot) is still listed as a game-time condition for tonight's game. Obviously Thaddeus Young (fractured right thumb) is done for the season. Jordan is going with the same lineup he has lately: Jrue Holiday, Andre Iguodala, Jason Kapono, Elton Brand, and Samuel Dalembert.
