Bryant to provide suspended coach with cheesesteak

Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown won't guide his team tonight against the 76ers.

Brown was being suspended one game without pay and fined $25,000 for making contact with a game official and failure to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection in Saturday's loss at Utah.

The first-year Lakers coach was with the team at this morning's shootaround at the Wells Fargo Center.

"I understand it and they have protocol they have to follow," Brown said when asked about his reaction.

He said he would watch the game from his team hotel and that Kobe Bryant would provide him with some area cuisine.

"Kobe said he would take care of me and I love cheesesteaks and Kobe said that he would send me one from the best cheese-steak places in Philly," Brown said.

Brown identified the cheesesteak place as Larry's, located across from St. Joseph's University.
