European trip benefits Sixers in 'twisted way'

One would assume 76ers coach Brett Brown is uneasy about the upcoming trip to Europe.

At this time, the youth squad needs practice time – not exhibition games across the pond.

But …

"I think it's good to go to Europe," said Brown, who coached professionally in Australia and the 2012 Australian Olympic team.  "You know I spent a lot of time overseas.  … I think in a twisted way to get this group together and go do something like that with them, I feel that that trumps the disruption of two-a-days, or you miss a day and a half."

The Sixers travel to Bilbao, Spain on Thursday for Sunday's 12 p.m. game against Uxue Bilbao Basket at Bizkaia Arena at the BEC. Two days later, the Sixers will Oklahoma City at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.
