POSTED: Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 8:27 PM

Who should the 76ers take with the No. 2 pick?
John Wall (Kentucky)
Evan Turner (Ohio State)
Derrick Favors (Georgia Tech)
DeMarcus Cousins (Kentucky)
Wesley Johnson (Syracuse)
Someone else

Tonight in Secaucus, N.J., the NBA held its annual NBA Draft Lottery to determine the selection order for the 2010 NBA Draft, to be held June 24 at Madison Square Garden.

The 76ers, who entered the lottery with a 5.3 percent chance of winning the No. 1 overall selection, ended up with the 2nd selection in the Draft. The Sixers had a 6.0 percent chance of earning the second pick.

The Sixers, who were represented at the Draft Lottery by rookie point guard Jrue Holiday, finished the 2009-10 season with a record of 27-55.

Evan Turner of Ohio State is projected as the No. 2 pick in the draft.

Turner and Holiday in the backcourt. It's about time.

Cousins is immature and a head case don't even think about it

A Turner and Holiday backcourt could be the best backcourt in the league in a few years. Finally the Sixers give me a reason to care again.

Last time we had a #2 in any draft, the guy played here for 11 years, set almost every franchise record. Yeah, I'd be pleased if we get the basketball version of one, Donovan Jamal McNabb.

Why Turner? Ill tell you why, because he's the next Dwayne Wade, Demarcus Cousins on the other hand is the next Derrick Coleman

deep draft. turner's a fine pick, but the sixers only have 1 this year. Cant imagine anyone will take on AI's contract, but if they can move him for a high second round pick, do it. Also #2 for a 5 or 6 and a mid round would work too.

Philly4fanDoc- teams that draft for need over taking the best player often find themselves trying to fill that same need the following year. Take the best player, they have needed a shooting guard for three years, right away turner and holiday give you one of the top defensive back courts in the league, as well as two guys that can handle and get to the hole.

Do we really think Turner is automatic? Not saying he isn't...just not as positive as the rest.. but a 6'4 and 6'7 backcourt would cause problems.. and to EDMUNDHAN - my jaw still hasn't returned back to normal from the Hughes pick - so lucky that he fell, and Larry Brown pulled another Darko Milicic.

all depends on what the Wiz do - do they like a Turner Arenas backcourt? or will they replace Gilbert w/John Wall?

What have all the posters overlooked? No coach in place yet and Ed. Stefanski will do the picking. How can anyone feel he will make the right selections?

Id be down with Cousins as a big man but apparently he constantly talked back to calipari and could have discipline issues. Turner seems like the safe and smart pick. Some project him over Wall in the long term.
